Located in Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood, The Godfrey Hotel was designed to be a natural addition to the community. Everything from the vibrant murals and repetitive nature of the windows, to the Detroit-centric embellishments represent Corktown and the industrious spirit of the city.

The hotel is designed to welcome travelers to the unique, historic neighborhood while supporting those who call Corktown home. The project team took special care to understand the needs of the community through visioning sessions and surveys, which is reflected in the design.

In addition to guest rooms, the Godfrey offers a ground-floor restaurant (Hamilton’s) and bar on the top level (I|O Godfrey Rooftop Lounge). A ballroom and separate pre-function space can accommodate up to 350 guests, while smaller conference rooms on the upper levels serve smaller groups.

The I|O Godfrey Rooftop Lounge has a retractable roof and walls that bring the outside in. Panoramic views featuring the Ambassador bridge and downtown Detroit serve a a backdrop for this high-end food + beverage space.
