Macomb-Oakland Regional Center (MORC)

Morc, Inc.'s beautifully renovated and refreshed space assists the human service agency's mission to better serve and coordinate long-term support for individuals with physical and intellectual needs and the elderly in Southeast Michigan. The main design challenges were driven by ADA accessibility and needs (for example, instead of a 5 foot corridor, a 7 foot one was desired). Renovations to the existing building included a new space featuring an autism clinic, cafe, offices for approximately 200 employees, multiple conference/board rooms, and reconfigured toilet rooms. The mechanical upgrades in the space included replacing windows, roofing, and converting from a broiler to a HVAC System, requiring new ducts to be installed within the roof units.
