What you will do:

  • Create project designs and plans for all phases of projects and coordinates building design consultants while monitoring drawings
  • Oversee less experienced designers and assigned to project teams of complex projects of the largest magnitude
  • Initiate and creates project designs and plans of all phases of one or more projects and has responsibility for preparation and delivery of presentation and design drawings or advanced design specialty
  • Coordinate all trades and agencies related to building design while monitoring drawings
  • Assists with project specifications by providing relevant and required product, equipment information and compiling and analyzing relevant data
  • Coordinate with the Design Directors and directly supervises other design team members and design delivery on substantial and varied project types
  • Represents the firm with targeted clients, consultants and the public

Your Education + Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent degree is preferred
  • Licensure required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Modeling, 3-D Studio Max is a plus, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and SketchUp
  • Strong verbal and graphic communication skills and ability to work within diverse teams of designers
  • Experience working in commercial, multi-family, higher education, workplace, or retail
  • Knowledge of project specifications for design related products and equipment

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

We are currently seeking a Senior Interior Designer. This opportunity is based in our Southfield studio and will involve collaborating with our Design Directors to deliver exceptional design outcomes for our clients.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded team member with high-level conceptual design skills supported by extensive presentation, documentation and coordination needed to execute commercial projects. You will have a proven track record of leading multiple projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Who You Are:

  • A certified Interior Designer with a minimum of 10 years of experience

  • A team player who communicates effectively with sound judgment, thoroughness and appropriate decision making

We are currently seeking a Specifications Writer to join our team in the Southfield studio. The ideal candidate is familiar with a wide range of building types, materials, and construction systems. You will provide a supporting role in production of Project Manuals, coordination of Consultant Specifications, and research of materials and products.

  • Specifications Writer with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Resourceful and creative thinker with strong writing, editing, and research skills
  • Multi-tasker with proven track record of success working with a multitude of teams and clients
  • Individual with a strong understanding of building science, materials, construction systems and codes

 

What you will do:

  • Work alongside Director of Specifications and/or Senior Specifications Writer, provide a supporting role in production of Project Manuals, coordination of Consultant Specifications, research of materials and products
