After a decade of fundraising to update a 30-year-old facility, Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit sought Neumann/Smith to design their new Adoption Center. The shelter now includes a courtyard and dog run, additional kennels, intake, medical and grooming areas, puppy + kitten nurseries, “get acquainted” rooms, and office + training spaces for employees. Neumann/Smith completed design in three phases, aligning our efforts with the organization’s fundraising goals.
