Melissa’s Vision and Goals
In her own words, Melissa shares her journey and aspirations: “I am a senior interior designer with Neumann/Smith Architecture in Southfield, Michigan. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design with a business minor. This is my 5th year on the IIDA board, and my current position is President-Elect. When I’m not working, you may find me hanging out with my husband and two dogs, golfing, or spending time with my nephews and nieces; I have 13 of them.”
Melissa joined IIDA to connect with like-minded designers in the Michigan market. She remains an active member because of her desire to contribute positively to the community. Additionally, the IIDA provides her with a platform to connect with designers across the state, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
We are excited to see Melissa’s leadership and vision come to life in her new role. Her dedication to enhancing the interior design industry and her commitment to fostering a positive community will undoubtedly lead to a successful and impactful term. Here’s to a bright future under Melissa’s guidance and the continued growth and success of the IIDA Michigan Chapter!
