Included in the next era of the Beverly Center’s rebranding transformation is the upscale modern California-Italian restaurant Cal Mare. Celebrity chef Michael Mina teamed with designers to create the most dramatic restaurant to come to the LA area in some time.
Located under the mall’s enclosed stairwell, also designed by Neumann/Smith, the space features barrel vaulted brick-clad ceilings, an expo-kitchen open to dining, a distressed wood feature wall in the private dining room, a unique bar and trellis design, and an exterior patio (complete with fireplace) under cedar clad beams that offers views of the beautiful brick and tiled arches. Interior finishes include tile and wood floors, and textured stucco and tile wainscoting.
As Architect of Record, our team not only drafted construction documents, but managed the entire project from start to finish; including our consultants and the owner’s consultants.
