Jim Crow Museum
Located on the Ferris State University campus, the 26,000-square-foot facility will house an extensive collection of 30,000 artifacts, formerly located in the library basement. More than a museum, it’s a transformative space for education and dialogue—hosting tours, lectures, and workshops that use historical materials as tools to confront hate while highlighting the stories of activists. Alongside the project team and community members, we recently celebrated the monumental groundbreaking of the new Jim Crow Museum at Ferris State University.
"The new Jim Crow Museum will help us continue to educate those who come through its doors through a historic lens and consequently, will attract students, visitors, scholars, and policymakers from across the country.” — Ferris State President Bill Pink
