Neumann/Smith transformed a damp and dreary high-bay industrial building that had been vacant for some time into a dynamic work environment consolidating 120 staff from two separate locations.  In addition to the offices and warehouse, the new facilities include a presentation room, informal conversation and meeting areas and a cafe.

A floor of beautifully hued slate and an undulating translucent canopy greets the eye.  Wood window frames and rock walls of cultured stone transform an adjacent conference room into a natural oasis. The main expanse of the interior celebrates the building’s industrial roots.  Numerous skylights, exposed construction, vibrant colors, angular shapes, and whimsical ceiling elements create a distinctive, fun space.

Lighting was designed to compensate for limited window views and to maximize energy efficiency.  Outdoor light fixtures add to the interior streetscape.  The design also showcases indirect fluorescent lights, downlights, track lighting, wall sconces, projection lighting, neon, luminous ceilings, etc.
