
Having successfully completed FSU's new state-of-the-art library, Neumann/Smith was selected for the adaptive re-use of the original 1967 building. While the concrete structure was sound, all exterior windows, interior building elements, and mechanical and electrical systems were replaced. The addition of a three-story atrium with new stair and elevator cores gave the building a dynamic new identity.
The 60,000 sf Center brings the President's Office, Admissions, Financial Aid and other student and administrative services under one roof, providing "one stop shopping" for students and serving as the welcome center for the campus. Our efficient space plan allowed the University to cross-train staff and realize long-term savings from reduced staffing needs.
