The dull became the delightful as Neumann/Smith expanded and redesigned a dilapidated 1886 Victorian farmhouse registered with the Michigan Historic Commission No attempt was made to recreate the building as originally designed, but to capture its character.   The exterior was reclad in new cedar siding and much of the elaborate gingerbread trim was replicated.  An engaging multi-colored palette appropriate for the period brings the detailed facade to life.

Opening the doors of this old farmhouse the visitor walks directly from the 19th century to the 21st.  The interior is a sophisticated contemporary office.  Every floor features large windows and glass-paned office walls providing an open environment with lots of natural lighting and a palette of natural materials including stone tile, slate, cork and maple, cherry and oak woods.
